PROFHILO® is one of the most popular injectable treatments available now, you may also know it as the “5-point lift treatment’ or 逆时针. It was awarded Product Innovation of the Year at the 2016 Aesthetics Awards in the UK, and International Anti-Aging and Beauty Trophy for ‘Best Skin Enhancement Device’ at the Aesthetic and Anti-Ageing Medicine European Congress 2015 in Paris. Needless for me to say this became a really popular product till this date.
What is PROFHILO®?
PROFHILO® is made from 100% pure hyaluronic acid and it holds the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid in the market. It consists of 32mg of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (H-HA) and 32mg of low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (L-HA), totaling 64mg in 2ml.
How does PROFHILO® work?
PROFHILO® is developed by using a patented technology resulting in Hybrid Cooperative Complex (HCC) between high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (H-HA) and low molecular hyaluronic acid (L-HA) without the use of any chemical cross-linking compounds.
These complexes increase the stability of hyaluronic acid to degradation and increase the longevity of product in the skin, therefore effects can stay for up to 6 months after treatment. These high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acids have different advantages for the skin. The H-HA has volumetric lifting effect to the dermis layer of the skin while the L-HA provides long-lasting hydration to the epidermis layer of the skin, hence maximize the anti-aging benefits.

PROFHILO® is MORE THAN JUST a skin booster
Though PROFHILO® being made of hyaluronic acid, it also stimulates collagen and elastin in the skin, which explains its tightening and rejuvenating effects. Traditional skin booster only has skin hydration effect.
PROFHILO® is NOT a dermal filler
PROFHILO® is not the same as dermal fillers. Although both contain hyaluronic acid, PROFHILO® does not have the same thick viscosity, no BDDE (cross-linking agents), and does not fill or volumize the face in specific area as dermal fillers.
In contrast, PROFHILO® is a water-like gel with a similar consistency to maple syrup and is injected in small amounts across the face, neck, or other parts of the body. It spreads beneath the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin to improve skin tone, skin texture and elasticity. Because PROFHILO® doesn’t contain BDDE, there is a lower risk of hypersensitivity reactions and inflammation.

Due to its good spreadability effect, PROFHILO® only requires 5 injection points for each side of the face and neck unlike skin boosters which requires multiple injection points. Treatment Protocol
For the first 2 sessions of PROFHILO® treatments, it is advisable to administer them 1 month apart. For those with severe skin laxity, a third session is required in order to obtain optimal results. After completing the initial treatment, it is recommended to repeat the session after 6 months. Generally, PROFHILO® can last for up to 6 months, however it depends on the patient’s skin condition, lifestyle and environment factors as well.
Can PROFHILO® be combined with other treatments?
Yes! PROFHILO® can be safely combined with fillers, as fillers help to replace volume loss while PROFHILO® helps in restoring skin hydration and remodelling aging tissue. PROFHILO® also acts synergistically with other energy-based devices such as HIFU, PicoWay and Fotona laser.
