What is Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers is gel-like substance that is injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, or enhance facial contours.

How does it work

Dermal fillers work by injecting a gel-like substance into the skin to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. The most common type of dermal filler is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and retains moisture.

In addition to hyaluronic acid, other types of dermal fillers such as calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA), poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), polycaprolactone (PCL), and poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) are also used.

Once injected, the filler adds volume and hydration to the treated area, resulting in a plumper and more youthful appearance. The results are noticeable immediately, and the filler gradually breaks down over time.
