What is Thread Lift

Thread lift is a non-surgical alternative to a traditional facelift, involving the insertion of dissolvable threads into the skin. These threads lift and support the underlying tissues, resulting in a firming and lifting effect.

How does it work

The threads stimulate collagen production in the treated areas, which further improves skin elasticity and firmness over time.

What are the different types of threads

Thread lift procedures use different materials for the threads, each offering specific benefits and effects. Some common materials used for thread lifts include:

PDO threads are used for skin tightening and rejuvenation. They also provide immediate lifting effects. They are gradually absorbed by the body over 6 to 12 months.

PLA threads stimulate collagen synthesis, leading to a natural lifting and firming effect. They also improve skin texture and volume. They are slowly absorbed over time, and their effects can last up to 2 years as the new collagen formation sustains the lifting results.

PLLA threads are similar to PLA threads, they encourage collagen production, improving skin elasticity and volume. They are gradually dissolve over time, and their effects can last up to 2 years.

PCL threads stimulate collagen production, leading to skin rejuvenation and long-lasting lifting effects. They are slowly absorbed by the body over 2 years, making them one of the longer-lasting options for threadlift procedures.

Benefits

Thread lift is a minimally invasive treatment that does not require surgical incisions, resulting in less downtime and fewer risks compared to traditional facelift surgery.

The insertion of threads into the skin provides an instant lifting effect, resulting in a more youthful appearance immediately after the procedure.

Thread lift encourages the body’s natural collagen production, promoting skin rejuvenation and improvement in skin texture and elasticity over time.

Thread lift can enhance facial contours, restoring a more youthful and defined appearance.

Depending on the type of threads used, the results of thread lift can last anywhere from several months to 2 years. Additionally, the collagen stimulated by the threads can help maintain the lifting effects even after the threads have dissolved.

As the threads dissolve, the body’s own collagen replaces them, resulting in a natural-looking improvement in skin firmness and texture.

Thread lift can be used to lift and tighten various areas of the face, including the cheeks, eyebrows, jowls, neck, and jawline. It can also be used to improve the appearance of sagging skin on other parts of the body.

The number and placement of threads can be tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient, making thread lift a highly customizable treatment option.

Treatment Protocol

Only one session of thread lift treatment is required. The procedure typically takes less than an hour, and the results can be noticeable immediately, with continued improvements over several months.

Thread lifts are commonly used to address mild to moderate skin sagging, particularly in the mid-face, jawline, and neck areas. They are suitable for individuals who want some facial rejuvenation but are not ready for, or do not wish to undergo surgery.
